Apple strudel baking class, Thurs, Feb 22


I cannot deny my Austrian roots, and there is nothing more Austrian than a classic apple strudel. The pastry is so thin, that you can read the newspaper through it! Unlike my other classes, this one is not pure whole foods. In my ‘former life’ as a pastry chef, I made many different strudels and I frequently get asked for this class, so here it is.
It is fun and delicious, and mostly apples …

Part hands-on, part demonstration, this is a deep dive into the process of making classic Old Viennese Strudel.

Unlike all my other workshops, this one is a classic recipe with 2 different fillings.

It is not gluten-free (spelt flour) and it also has sugar and dairy. I have tried many times, but it is not the same when ‘veganized’.

We will make a vegan version as well, so you can compare it.


You will take the recipe and instructions home so you can keep the fun going!

This is a 2,5 – hour lesson, finishing with sit-down sampling, a taste to take home for your family, and plenty of time for Q&A.
